Welcome to my website.
Some people say that I am a poet and over the years I have written a few books. I am a World War II veteran and some of my friends describe me as a raconteur. If you don't know what that means, stop by my favorite Irish pub, O'Faolains, in Sterling, VA and I will be happy to explain it to you. While sharing my thoughts on the Internet is new for me, writing them down is not. I started to write down my thoughts in 1946 and I put them in a folder. I did this for the next fifty-nine years. I filled many folders. I wrote them on anything that was handy; scrap paper, calendar sheets, paper bags, bar napkins, business cards and whatever was available when I felt the urge to write about what I was thinking, seeing or hearing at the time. Some of it was written in rhyme but I did not feel it was poetry, though some of it is poetic. Some people have read it and they call it poetry. I truly don't know why I wrote some of it, but something moved me to put it down on paper at the time. I started organizing all of this writing in book form for my daughter, Gina, who as afraid that it would be all lost if I didn't do it now. All of this is my original work or I should say - thoughts of a lifetime.
Some of the books of my writings are available from Amazon and other providers. Feel free to browse the books via the links below::
